Dark Love...

Never define Love

To do so would be to cage Love

And Love must never feel trapped

Love must always roam free

Never measure Love

To do so would be to limit Love

And Love must never feel restricted

Love must know no bounds

Never judge Love

To do so would be to brand Love

And Love must never discriminate

Love must embrace all

Never forget Love

To do so would be to destroy Love

And Love must never cease to be

Love must live on

Above all

Never trust Love

To do so would be foolish

And Love must never know our vulnerabilities

Love must be feared

Always

Lest it devour us

Rescue...

In the oily, oozing

Bowels of my soul

There hides a cowled, quaking

Figure from the past

This pathetic wraith

Is who I used to be

Before the Demons came

And rescued me

At last!

Emily...

Sit Emily

On the naughty chair

She's been

A very bad girl

She's poisoned

Her mother

Dismembered

Her brother

And daddy is

Food for the worms

Share With Me...

Share with me

Neither your riches

Nor your kingdom

Share with me

Nothing more

Than a kiss

That I may journey

To your soul

And forever bide

Humpty Dumpty...

Humpty Dumpty's world was at war

Humpty Dumpty watched his world fall

And all the politicians through lies and deceit

Couldn't put Humpty's world back on its feet!

Woe...

Woe is the poet

For he feels the loss

Of everything

Before its demise

The Visitor...

You seem quite shocked to see me

I know the hour is late

And I hope you will forgive me

For arriving in this state

I didn't have a chance to change

It's been a messy day

With one thing and another

But I'm here now just to say

Did you tell your wife about us?

Does anybody know?

Oh dear, you've gone quite ashen

I presume the answer's no?

Not to worry, I won't tell

My words are just for you

Every night I'll come to chat

It's the least that I can do

To cement our new relationship

And extend our brief encounter

Though you seem too stunned to offer much

You're not as pushed on banter

As you were with foot on pedal

When you raced home from the pub

Oblivious to others

Who were also on that road

As I was when you hit me

And left me lying there

Uncaring of your actions

In your alcohol fuelled blur

Too eager to desert the scene

Where my bleeding, broken shape

Breathed out its last

Through blood choked gasps

As you made your escape

And so I stand before you now

A permanent reminder

Of my derision at your decision

To be a drunken driver

Betrayal...

Fear not

The forceful hand

Of thine enemy

Fear only

The poisonous kiss

Of thy friend
