Do Not Cry...

My baby boy Ralph 2008 - 2017

Forever loved.

Written on behalf of my Ralph, my Beautiful, loving, faithful companion and muse in life...dedicated to his family who miss him very, very much...

Do not cry for me

Your tears always made me sad

And you would not wish me sad

For now, I run in fields again

Free from pain, energy returned.

My eyes, no longer blind

Enjoy the magic of all the vibrant colours

In this world of new adventures

A world where, one day, you and I

Will be together again

A world where, once more, you will feel

The excited brush of my wagging tail

Against your leg

A world where I will know again

The tinkle of your laughter

And the tender, playful pat

Of your hand upon my head

So, no...

Do not cry for me

For we have not lost the other

We are merely standing at opposite ends

Of the playing field

Waiting to be reunited

And when that day comes

We will run joyfully towards the other

To resume our loving days of play, mischief, and cuddles

Lots and lots of cuddles.

  1. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time

  2. Beautiful, Lynn. You will miss his little soul for a long time, I know, but it's lovely to think that one day you will be together again. I think that with my Sin xxx

    1. Thank you, Val and yes...we'll each be reunited with our trusted pals one day and until such time they will rest in our hearts...deeply missed but never forgotten xxx

  3. Awww, Lynn, Ralph looks like such a sweetie, with that big smile. I'm so sorry you lost him. I can imagine many playful, cuddly years between the two of you. But of course the loss of that makes it harder. I'm still devastated that my Jake is gone. Maybe Jake will trot up to Ralph in Heaven and say howdy-do. He was almost as big as a dog, after all. ;-} Hugs to you.

  4. I forgot to mention that Jake was (and still is with me in spirit, forever in my mind) a cat, not a dog, for those reading this who don't know me. But some pets, regardless of whether they're dog, cat, bunnyrabbit, ferret, etc. are just true characters, pranksters, and silly babies. ;-}

    1. Thank you, Nikki....for such a beautiful comment. And you are so right....no matter what shape they may take they are our babies...and we love them for always and beyond...and knowing my Ralph...he's already made pals with Jake 'cos he was brought up to love all creatures...even thought he did have a bit of a window cleaner problem... :) xx
